Dr. Haider and his wife Salma have established the Haider Program at The University of California Riverside which provides a unique opportunity for UCR students to get their MD degree and serve this community. The Haiders’ also established scholarships for these students as well as lectureship through UCR that brings the latest medical discoveries to the people of the Inland Empire.

Haider Biomedical Breakthrough Lectures
At HSC giving back to the community and the world is a priority. In order to facilitate this, In 1994, Dr. Haider and his Wife Salma established the Children’s Spine Foundation in Riverside to provide comprehensive spinal care to economically disadvantaged children without health insurance, up to and including surgery. The nonprofit foundation also conducts presentations for schools, medical professionals and other organizations.
The Children’s Spine Foundation has taken surgical missions to various parts of the country and the world. These trips are funded by donations to the foundation and the lives that are changed because of the volunteer work and surgery are amazing.
Dr. Cramer relays a story about a recent visit to the Dominican Republic as well as Guadalajara.
