Welcome to Haider Spine Center

Dedicated to the treatment of spinal disorders

Haider Spine Center (HSC) was founded by Dr. Thomas Haider in 1992. It is the largest comprehensive spine center in Southern California. The physicians of Haider Spine Center come from orthopedic surgery and neurosurgery background with fellowship training in spine surgery. Physicians at HSC serve as clinical faculty at the University of California Riverside and UCLA. Haider Spine Center provides comprehensive spine care including complex spine surgeries, scoliosis surgery, minimally invasive surgery, as well as nonsurgical treatment for all types of spine conditions.

The physicians at HSC have a long history of helping the community. Dr. Haider founded the Children Spine Foundation which provides free medical care and surgery to children without the financial means. The HSC physicians (through the foundation) have performed numerous surgeries, provided free braces and trained school nurses to perform scoliosis screenings.

The physicians at HSC teach University of California Riverside students and train their residents. HSC has participated in state of the art multicenter clinical trials. The HSC physicians are responsible for numerous peer reviewed scientific papers. Dr. Haider has patented, designed and created multiple spinal implants that are currently in use all over the country.

In addition to surgical care, HSC also has state of the art physical therapy with a large swimming pool, distraction table, chiropractic care and functional capacity evaluations.

Located in the City of Riverside, we are in the heart of the Inland Empire and surrounding communities.

Meet Our Doctors

The HSC surgeons have been involved in training of residents and medical students in both orthopedic and neurosurgery departments at Riverside County Regional Medical Center. This allows us to be at the forefront of the latest trends in science and technology while practicing evidence based medicine.

  • A year ago, I was falling several times a week, unable to sleep due to pain and could barely lift a coffee cup because of pain in my back and getting worse all the time. Dr. Cramer wasn't the first doctor I saw but he was the one who was best able to explain to me what he would do and how it would help. The surgery was more extensive than anticipated because my back was deteriorating so quickly. I had a day long surgery with approaches from the front and back, four fusions and placement of hardware. Of course there was a long recovery but as I approach the first anniversary of the surgery, I can honestly say I have no pain, stumbling or falling and I am slightly less flexible than before. Based on my experience, I highly recommend Dr. Cramer as a spine surgeon.
